What is business analytics?

Business analysis is a technique that is supposed to increase the performance of an organization or a business. Using this technique, different statistical methods and models are created, which are implemented on the projects, products and data of an organization. Business analysis is a data-driven approach. This means that this technique is data-driven. Today, businesses and organizations are moving to data-based approaches from traditional methods. Business analysis is also beneficial in recognizing the hidden problems of strategy due to the decline in business performance. The business analysis mainly depends on two things which are listed below:

·        good quality of the data
·        skilled data scientists

TYPES OF BUSINESS ANALYTICS

Here are some types of business analytics listed below:

·        DESCRIPTIVE ANALYTICS

In descriptive analysis, data from the last years are analyzed. In addition to the data, problems that have arisen in recent years are also analyzed. The objective of descriptive analysis is to discover the reasons or the causes of these problems. Why did these problems happen?

·        PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

In predictive analysis, past and present data are analyzed. The goal of predictive analytics is to give predictions about situations that may occur in the future. The problems or conditions of the present moment are analyzed and on the basis of this analysis the future conditions are predicted.

·        PRESCRIPTIVE ANALYTICS
In the normative analysis, the problems of the present time are analyzed. The purpose of normative analysis is to solve the problems of today.

WORKING OF THE BUSINESS ANALYTICS

The first step in business analysis is to determine the goal. It is clearly understood what a company or organization ultimately wants to achieve. Based on the objective, an analysis method is decided. According to this analytical method, the required data analytics training are collected from different resources. In addition to data collection, data cleaning and data integration are also carried out. Here, data integration means collecting all the useful information and putting it collectively in a big box. Here, the big boxes are the Data Mart, the data warehouse, etc.

Initially, operations are performed on a small set of data or a sample of the data. Analytical tools offer many services to the user. Some of them store data in spreadsheets, perform statistical analyzes on them, predictive modeling, data mining, etc.

The analytical process is iterative. The process is repeated if necessary. Indeed, when new and masked models are recognized from the data, the analysis is again performed on this new data science course syllabus.
